What GEO is, and how it differs from SEO
SEO helps your pages rank in search results. GEO helps assistants name your business, link to your site and describe it correctly when someone asks them for a recommendation. Three things to measure, separately
- Mentioned: the answer names your business.
- Cited: the answer links to your site.
- Facts correct: what the answer says about you matches your facts: prices, hours, services.
These are separate measures. An answer can name you with the wrong price, or link to you without naming you. We ask assistants a fixed set of questions, repeat them, and count each measure on its own. "No data" means a source was not available or not connected; it never means zero.
